Worse Toronto ISP

As a customer of Rogers, Bell and Acanac, my latest ISP choice for Toronto was my poorest. Do not get fooled Velcom's low prices and non-capped downloads as their service quality is far too below-par to match what the big guys Rogers and Bell offer.

After almost a year with Velcom and numerous problems including poor line quality, frequent disconnects, slow internet speeds and poor technical service, I have ended my relationship as a customer after they decided to bill me this month for over $100 for a ticket I opened over 3 months ago.

What basically happened is that I called for them to fix the line (no sync for over a week), they came over and the line had returned by then. The Bell tech deemed he came over for nothing, but when Velcom called 2 days later to confirm the issue was resolved, the line was down and the problem still occurring so the Bell tech came back a second time around, and actually fixed the problem.

Just stay away from this company! I recommend Acanac from experience if you're looking for an ISP that doesn't limit your usage... and then Bell/Rogers if you can afford it .

I just canceled my service with Velcom. My speed was capped for the 2nd time by Bell at 2.57Mb/s (I used to get +6Mb/s 10 days ago).I asked Velcom tech support to issue a ticket for Bell to fix the problem but they refused so I canceled.
I'm considering Acanac (multi MLPPP), Primus and Techsavvy Cable.
