Just had a strange occurrence trying to call a relative in Cuernavaca, Mexico (Local phone company is TelMex). Before the call connected, got a recording in Spanish saying that the long distance company being used was not paying the long distance fees to the local phone company and that they would allow the call today but would not in the near future.
Is this a case of the local company trying to shake down a larger company? Is this something we will need to be concerned about?
This may have something to do with America Movil and it's takeover of TelMex - »www.businessweek.com/new ··· e2-.html - as always, if you discover you are unable to complete a call please contact support so we can troubleshoot the issue.
