It was fun while the value where there

Just dropped Speakeasy after nearly ten years. They just can't compete price & bandwidth wise anymore.

I'll miss the insanely low gaming ping & awesome techsupport, but not the price paid for such a low amount of bandwidth.

I did some pricing today and to get what I currently have or to move up to 3 meg down - I would be paying more and most of the time having to use PPPoe.

Not going to do AT&T ever but maybe Cincy Bell has something but I do like the static IP and dry loop.

I came to that conclusion about 4 years ago, after using them for many years. Speakeasy's tech support and consistency were great, but times change.

I ditched Speakeasy 6.0/768 service a few months ago after 9 years of continuous service.

I'm now with DSL Extreme getting the same speeds.

I was paying $110 with speakeasy, now paying $35 with DSLExtreme. You do the math.

I ditched Speakeasy years ago. They are great-but awfully expensive for what you get these days.
