Speedstream 6520 and COD4

I can not for the life of me figure this out.

While trying to play Call of Duty 4 clicking the multiplayer exe takes a good minute to 2 minutes to actually start up. While the splash screen sits there it shows the game as "Not Responding" in the task manager. It will eventually load as it should and work fine...

If I unhook my internet and attempt to start the game it loads up as it should, and as quickly as it should.

Which of course leads me to believe it's an issue with my network settings, problem is I can't figure out which. It's done this on all of my computers in this house and on this modem.

I've forwarded the ports and even messed with the firewall and no change.

I've googled a good bit and read that another modem had an issue with it and you had to disable DNS Relay, but as far as I can tell, it's already disabled in my settings.

I'm lost on figuring this out and it's just a pain to have to sit and wait for it to figure out what it wants to do.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Use Wireshark to see what connections it tries to make when starting up?

I've never even heard of that and have zero clue how to use it.

What’s the point of owning a supercar if you can’t scare yourself stupid from time to time?
