You're more likely to find work in NM in the Albequerque area... They got casino's there (actually just outside the city limits) - maybe you can luck into an I.T. position at one of those...
I don't remember if you ever told me you had any sort of security clearance...the Los Alamos test labs are in NM, northeast of Santa Fe...you know...the place where they keep having security lapses...

They could maybe send you a sunday paper...that can give you a good idea about a lot of things...local ads, typical prices for things [cost of living], local stories [crime, etc], local jobs (not that you would take a job from the classifieds in the paper)
