 | Longing for the return of CallVantage I don't know why I keep returning to this site! I guess I just hope that someone has heard that AT&T had a change of heart and is bringing back CallVantage. I ported to Vonage and they are OK but since they have no competition, they are nickel and dimeing me to death. Any way, I hope they don't shut this site down any time soon. |

PhonePower, VOIPo, FutureNine, CallCentric, Vitelity, Voip.MS, cable company phone services, lots of others. |
|
 | Other than the cable's, how many are listed on the stock exchange! Of course, the cables raise their prices on a regular basis. |

Other than the cable's, how many are listed on the stock exchange! What on earth does that have to do with anything? Except in an INVERSE relationship?
General Motors was listed on the stock exchange and had to go through bankruptcy.
Merrill Lynch was listed on the stock exchange---it was their business, in fact---and had to be rescued by Bank of America with Federal help.
Vonage is listed on the stock exchange, and has lost money for years and years, except for one 3-month period.
VoiceStick (parent company GEOS Telecom, formerly i2) is listed on the stock exchange, and is shutting down their VoIP operation because it failed horribly. Almost as if they were deliberately trying to go broke.
Whereas PhonePower, VOIPo, CallCentric, Voip.MS, and other owner-operated independent companies, are doing fine, expanding their services, improving their platforms.

Note that it's mostly the taxes and government fees that have increased... although I do agree their Intellectual Property fee is nothing but a money grab disguised to look like an "it's not our fault" fee. |
