69% loss? 100% loss? HELP!
Hi folks. I'm a long-time DSL Reports member, but
for various reasons haven't needed help from y'all
for 5 or 6 years. I need some now. I moved, and am
now on a 6Mb/3Mb cable connection, behind a
Netgear 3300 router(made temporarily pingable), to
which my XP pc is ethernet connected. I've run the
line test several times and keep getting -
As someone stated, get ones line quality up-to-par
before tweaking any further. I do indeed intend to do
a 'full tweak job', and so am starting with line-quality
testing. Go ez on me folks - I'm a simple carpenter...

In simple terms: Ignore it; everything is OK.
The most common cause is the ISP is dropping the rapid pings because it thinks it is a an attack.
Look at your hop. If you were getting 69 or 100% "loss" it would show at your hop. Your hop is fine.
