| Who they decide NOT to sue is important too... Over the years I've seen US States, Cities, Municipalities... networks hacked which were remotely put into copyrighted file sharing duty.
I doubt they'll be suing any of these 'guilty' IP's simply because it will show the weakness of identity by IP.
Whereas an entity with the resources can prove there were no intent, the average user is toast despite having no knowledge of the activity or intent. |
