Laptop Advice

I will be attending college this fall and am in need of a good laptop. I am hoping this laptop will last me for at least all 4 years. I am deciding between these 2 laptops (My price range is ~$900-1080):

I could copy all of the specifications from each laptop but I think it would clutter the thread. I will need a laptop that capable of running Starcraft 2, TF2, CSS and probably several other games. So which laptop do you think would be able to play these games the best? Or do you know of a different site that offers better deals etc.

I appreciate you taking time to read this and any advice you have to give!

The mobility 5850 graphics are considerably better than the mobility 5650.
The sacrifice of a bit of cpu clock speed with the 430 i5 is a small price to pay in exchange.
I would probably bump the ram up to 4GB.

I would Price compare on NewEgg and Amazon once you find your features & specs.

»www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_···pus.html you can use that page to compare how the mobile versions stack up against the desktop version.. That will be a good tool to help assess how good it will run those games.

In most cases laptops in that price range will be able to play the older games you listed just fine, just don't expect to be able to run them in 16x or anything like that.
