Guess I wanted to be able to get a console and be able to download games I see around. I was told with a modded console you can play backup games as well. |

If this is your primary motive, then the discussion is pointless... 360 is the only way. The PS3 is unmoddable at the moment.
Don't expect to be doing any online multiplayer on your "backup" games though. MS has a good history of banning modded consoles.
