battlefield bad company 2 MP

Arrrgh I'm getting my ass kicked good...

»bfbc2.statsverse.com/stats/pc/subarub4

the kill cam sucks ass.. I rather it be like MW2 where I can see the shoot from a first person view and not a shot facing the shooter.

On some levels it sucks because as soon as I spawn I seem to get shot from out of nowhere and that's just when I'm about to move or crouch.

some of he weapons (most) that you start out when you have no rank just flat out suck.. I shoot a guy at point blank range 4 shots in the back and he still does not die but turns around and shoots me..

You can't play BC2 like MW2, two very different games.

Play hardcore mode. The perks are much less powerful (i.e. much easier to kill everybody with any weapon). Like Krisnatharok See Profile said, this isn't MW2, so don't go lone wolf, running and gunning. Spawn on your squad, try to stick together. If your the only one from your squad that's alive, duck into cover until they can spawn on you. Also, try Rush servers; they are alot more straight forward with one side attacking, one side defending. Remember to drop ammo and med kits, you will rack up alot of points with those. And of course, once you learn the maps, you'll know where the most likely areas are that you will take fire from.

Also wanted to say now that I'm home some maps are better then others but not cool when people base rape but I like rush good team work.

I've only unlocked the ammo drop right now and I think if I play as medic I can't revive someone right now right?

Suck this game does not come with a manual..

But I swear to god I'm going to buy a UPS next week friken power surge happened so fast it turned off both my pc's in the house while I was on a server.

Just get used to taking in the rear, especially when you find out that your killer was like 20 ranks higher than you are (BTW, make sure you pick up kits on the ground, they will be higher level than what you likely have at this point).

Situational awareness is key as was posted - run and gun usually gets you killed. When you learn the maps better, you will know where people tend to be and how to flank/sneak around them (I love doing this..sneaking up behind someone and knifing them).

I know my K:D is really bad, but I don't really care as I am more interested in maximizing points for things like unlocks - I am rank 18 now and already maxed out Sniper and vehicles, nearly completed Engineer.

Yeah, everyone goes through this process, it can frustrating though.

Funny, but I noticed that when people get up to Level 30 and above, sometimes the best weapons are the first ones....

The first assault rifle, the AEK, is really good. I actually prefer to play it with the iron sites. Just burst it a lot.

The 9A-91 sub machine gun has the highest damage of all the SMG's. I do not really like the iron sites, try a red dot or ACOG.

Also the M24 sniper rifle is one of the best for recon class, it's the first too.

Other best weapons IMO:

Assault: AN-94
Engineer: SCAR-L
Medic: M60
Recon: GOL Magnum (I like this one better than the M95)

Watch some You Tube videos for BFBC2 PC gameplay and you will see some good tactics and uses for the various weapons.

If you want instant success and a really good K/D, I suggest you play engineer and unlock the Carl Gustov rocket launcher (it is anti-infantry, will still kill tanks, but not as well as the other rocket launchers). Use the SCAR-L and the CG.....you will get tons of kills.

yeah I picked up other peoples kits and I like the red dot..

but anyways i've been playing for like 2 hours until I just got kicked off because my damn modem rebooted because i got rid of the VOIP service from cablevision so I'd have to jump back in.. better kills today and no whining about hacks.. well I did see one but I grabbed a screen shot of the score.

Does come down to strategy and the fact that most people are just bad (well, single minded).

For example, on the map in your first score board (I don't remember the name), as an engineer (with the AT mine unlock), regardless of which side you spawn, I hop on an ATV and rush to the A flag and mine the road leading to the central flag (A) from the enemy base (this is the flag location in the background of your first screen shot is taken, btw).

It is amazing to see how many times players in vehicles just charge and blow themselves up while I am hiding in the back ground floor room of the A flag building.

yeah I noticed that a lot just jump and get killed within the first 20 seconds..

I hopped on a tank in one of the maps I forget but it was a good combo.. I was on the MG on the tank and I took out the guys coming over the top of the hill worked out well I think I got about 5 kills off that alone.

Before I go back in I think I'm going to look up what some of these unlocks do.

What i'm pissed off about is I can't get the unlocked weapons for people that had older versions of BF.. I have all of them but yet the website seems to be broken

Battlefield BC2 is an entirely different game than MW2 thats for sure. I have logged a lot of time in this game, and I prefer it to MW2 thats for sure. At the same time though, you have to be aware that things are different in the game.

MW2 is a popcorn action shooter. There is really no realism to the game. I just can't stand people teleporting ahead 20 feet and using the knife, but its a fun action shooter thats for sure. If I want at least a small degree of realism and want to work in a team, then I play BFBC2.

Hardcore mode is the way to play this game. I really didn't like how many shots it took to take a person down. Hardcore really brings that down a bit. I also don't like the killcams in MW2. There is a certain amount of realism to not knowing where you got shot from which I like (no, I don't play a sniper).

The best advice I can give is to work with your squadmates. Thats the only way to do well in this game. I don't play rush very much. A majority of the games I play are hardcore conquest games. Still, playing the game as much as you can and learning the maps are key to doing well in this game.

I don't use all the "high level" guns. There is no BFG9000 that you use at a high level. Every gun has advantages and disadvantages. If you get owned by someone with a higher rank, don't think of it as gear imbalance. Its more of a skill imbalance more than anything.

Nothing like a good old re-hash, err, update to the original BF Vietnam.

Did kind of enjoy having the jeeps with the different radio stations to play period music-in game.

Had lots of great games in the old Vietnam game. I also seem to recall there was a mod of some other engine that was a Vietnam-era game as well (perhaps based on HL2?) around the same time.

I remember how I used to use RPGs on jeeps that I heard coming toward me with that music blaring. Yes, I could hear the music as well. If I was in the jungle and heard that music playing, it usually meant 1-2 kills easy.

Better yet, jeep suicides..you could stack mines and stuff in them (although I don't think this was exclusive to BF:V)!

I think it was project Vietnam? I'm pretty sure it was Project something.

just so you know, when you see somebody get banned it most likely wasn't even on your server. When somebody gets caught by pb on any server, that message pops up on all servers that are streaming pbbans, which most are.
