That actually seems rather odd for Verizon to allow the use of their copyrighted name.
Were they forced into this to get the deal to go through? It doesn't seem normal for Verizon. |

Yes, this has been posted a number of times, with the licensing for the name FiOS having been reported to be good for anywhere from 2 -5 years.
I'm sure there was some serious haggling going on. Frontier wasn't looking to take on FiOS in these four states, Verizon made them. |
