Netflix Sucks For That You Have To Wait 30 Days

that was the whole point that when new releases come out the same day they are available to rent by mail the same day. it was a convenience instead of going to the store. so now that you pay your monthly fee you want to wait 30 days to see new release? or go now the video store and rent it like you use to. maybe dowload the movies for $15 bucks from like cinemanow and amazon or blockbuster. or pay 4.99 to watch it on pay per view same day on cable, directv, dish or verizon fios. one last way is to go to blockbuster.com sign up and pay the same monthly fee like netflix and get the new releases the same day they come out. so i joined blockbuster.com and get new releases the sent to me in 1 day. netflix blows that they did this. i took my monthly fee and gave my business to blockbuster where there is no 30 day wait for new releases. or you can go to another online dvd rental service. if you pay a monthly fee and they take away new releases for 30 days its not worth it anymore to be a member and stick around. NETFLIX MADE A BIG MISTAKE.

So far their profits say otherwise.

Re: Netflix Sucks For That You Have To Wait 30 Days

I was seriously considering going with Netflix, I currently use RedBox for all my movie rentals...

With an extra 30 day wait, it really changes my opinion. Add to that there has been talk about the post office dropping saturday mail delivery...meaning no new movie to watch on saturday night unless you got it by friday, or go to the redbox anyway...

I don't watch that many movies, with the exception of this past weekend where I got 3 from redbox and watched all of them in one night. I occasionally watch Hulu content but I don't really like sitting in front of the computer to watch a full length feature.

Seems to me this is Netflix's way of trying to appease the cable companies so that it doesn't completely blow away their "on-demand" at $5+ a pop business model.

Re: Netflix Sucks For That You Have To Wait 30 Days

I don't mind having to wait for 30 days, extra I'm not going to watch a movie as soon as it comes out, I can wait, to see it, and I like to watch my movies on instant streaming, if it takes 30 days or so to end up on DVD and longer on IW who cares, if I'm not the 1st one in line at a movie theater I don't have to be the 1st one to watch a movie just because it's out on DVD today.

I may be wrong, but I think this 30 day deal will benefit the people like me who like to stream their contents, I've got some very good movies on my Instant Queue.

I'd say your at least not right for all of us. It would take a month for my isdn to buffer enough of a movie to watch anything of it worth watching.. Talking about power inefficiency.. Not having a real broadband option is handicapping some of us. Wireless is capped at 5 gigs, satellite is pathetic.. All that is left is isdn...

I got rid of Netflix because it takes forever to get Blu-Ray disks. DVD's are no problem to get from Netflix. But with HD now I want Blu-Ray. The fail on Blu-Ray.

I've had no issues with Netflix and BD titles. Aside from the four week wait, which, I'm rarely aware of, the titles are usually sent out to me the day they are available at Netflix and get to me on the next day.
