Congestion issues...

Seems after finally getting through to a New Wave tech support that those that feed off of the Taylorville, IL CO. and have had terrible connection issues ie. horrible pings and less than half your speeds. Not to worry... I have been told:

" We’re having high port utilization on port 9/0; current throughput is 90%; customer is having no sync or ranging issues w/ port; just looks like too many people online and not enough bandwidth."

The Tech I spoke w/ tells me that 70% throughput is acceptable and with it being at 90% unacceptable. They are having people look into what is causing the issue. and would get back w/ me as to why.

If anyone out there can comment back as to solutions that New Wave would use to remedy this please post..

Hey Chameleon,
Thanks for responding, I have had lots of issues w/ the local techs to be honest. And the only way anything has been resolved is getting a hold of higher ups.

Here is the Taylorville CO GM email address: bill.flowers@newwavecom.com

As a suggestion, I would email him about your issues.
When I emailed him, I not only got a response w/ in 24 hrs but had my issues cleared up w/in 48. But beware seems the field techs will come to loath u cause u went over their heads to get an issue resolved. Which is stupid, but if they did their jobs and cared about their quality of service you would not have to seek higher authority to resolve an issue.

Hope this helps
