Gee, could it be...

...that Topolski is nothing but a zealot with an obvious vendetta against Comcast (propped up by the sardonic BBR news page)? No one seems to give much of a hoot about his shenanigans, probably because the vast majority of customers weren't harmed in any way by the throttling, and if they were, didn't notice.

That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard no more: it is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.

That's exactly why gas station owners sometimes add a little water to the gasoline, or why butchers are sometimes a bit heavy on the thumb when they weigh meat.

Who's going to notice? If nobody notices, is there any harm?

I took funchords See Profile's post to highlight a morality or ethical issue, and it was more rhetorical in nature. May be I'm wrong though.

Re: Gee, could it be...

It's rhetorical but not applicable because they are different.

Water in gas strands people, could cause significant financial damage, and could even cause injury or death if your engine water-locked at the wrong time. That's why there are protections in place.

Cheating on a meat scale is just fraud, easily measurable and easily enforceable if people care.

What Comcast did was wrong, but your analogies are not applicable and sensational.

Perhaps you can't come up with a good analogy because what comcast did wasn't THAT significant.

@1dial.com
There were many people who were concerned and considered it serious including in government.
Your interpretation of this as being "his shenanigans" is absurd.
Regardless of the court outcome comcast has altered its behavior for the better so the overall result has been beneficial and I hope robb can be content with the good effect he has had.
