Re: How ? haven't you heard call them? ask for retention? Everyone assumes the worse over a rate hike. DirecTV is having one this year as well. Well actually Jan. 2011. So yah and ATT DSL has a rate hike all the time. Hell they love to play with the prices. So you'll be stuck there as well.

The fact that the price fixing done by oil companies acting in collusion screws the customers does not make right a monopoly (as in Comcast) raising prices. While gas is clearly a necessity in the US, high speed internet access is also becoming one. Both should be heavily regulated and investigated by our corporatist government.
