said by beachintech:I hate doing installs when the electrician or low volt company that did the wiring is still there. After I explain to the customer / show the customer what's wrong - they have to watch me rip all their crap out, cut off all their fittings they struggled to shove on the improperly prepped cables, and remove their amp that's causing so much noise and distortion no pictures will come in. Then they have to watch me take off every faceplate and replace all those fittings.
Then the worst part, when the customer gets billed from comcast for all that work they already paid him for.
See, except for the last part i'd love it.
"Now cocky... sit down and watch how you @#$@ing! do it right" And, i will trust that you or your company will be paying for the customers $49.99 Tech visit due to the fact you, being an electrician, who said you could do this failed horribly causing more problems for me, and for your client.
I mean really... i know electricans usually deal with line voltage or higher, and know that coax is not usually dangerous... but think of it this way... would you leave a 240v feed with a connector barely on?
AHHHHHH!
