Re: [Wireless] WRT610N vs E3000 Going back on topic, I think the difference lies in the CFE. If you search the dd-wrt forums, they have already posted how you can convert a wrt610nv2 to a e3000 (but the gain seems to be minimal, IMO).
I own a wrt610nv2 flashed with dd-wrt and it is an excellent router. On a 35/35 FIOS connection, I get nearly full speed (DL actually exceeds 35 consistently) on BOTh wired and wireless in a medium sized SF home. The wireless range is excellent (my experience with Netgear routers is that their wireless range is poor).
Also, you can get a remanufactured wrt610nv2 from Linksys outlet for about a $100. |
