| Where to go for phone number info? FindAnISP is gone! I just found a couple of ISPs who have dialup numbers that I didn't even know about (specifically 830-436-0400, 830-685-0400 and 830-644-0400) and am wondering who actually owns these numbers. Pretty sure it isn't one of the ISPs I checked; copper.net and turbousa.com both list these numbers.
I would look on FindAnISP.com but it looks like they're flat gone. A real pity, since I used them to figure out who owned phone numbers, and they were responsibly for my family signing up for TOAST.net a few years back.
So where would I go to figure out who owns those phone numbers? |

It appears to be the ISPs you mentioned. If it was a third party providing nationwide POPs I would think phone number search would have returned info on company rather then a specific ISP.

| Phone number search turned the numbers up as unlisted, and yes, those were the two numbers I was talking about.
I called the 436 number and got a number disconnected message. Same with the 644 number, so either the numbers are old or they're so new they aren't live yet. Called them from my cell though so *maybe* I'd get different results from a landline (not likely). |
