[Other] NetTalk- Ordered 2 months ago Are they serious? So, ordered my Net Talk TK6000 about 2 months ago. Received the e-mail that the product was on back order and would ship within 15 business days. When this did not happen, I called customer support and was told that they expected to ship within another week or so. That was almost a month ago. When I saw the thread on this forum that had the e-mail that one of their customers received on not offering the lifetime to new customers, I called the support line and was told that they had no information on this and that I would be getting the new device and would ship in about a week. That was about a month ago.
Two weeks ago I received an e-mail from them advising that the TK6000 was still not available and if I wanted to get more info on the new product and pricing to call customer support. This would indicate to me that if I get the new device, the plan and cost will be different than the TK6000. When I called in they told me that they had no info. I mentioned the e-mail I had just received and they told me someone would call me back later in the day. Call never received. I called back the next day and was essentially made to feel that I have been calling in too many times and there are no new updates. WOW! I told the rep that I was calling in because they initiated an e-mail to me to call and I was promised a return call the day before and never received one.
Fast forward to a few days ago when I received a post card in the mail from them telling me the same thing the e-mail did and to call customer support for more info on the new product and pricing. When I called, to my non-surprise, they have no new info on the product or pricing.
I understand the product being on back order and can understand if they sent out an e-mail too early to contact them...but to also get a mailer to call them and they still have NO info??? What is the deal Net Talk??? |

Re: [Other] NetTalk- Ordered 2 months ago Are they serious? Thanks for the update! Curious: 1) Have you been billed yet? 2) What does their online tracker say? » www.nettalk.com/trackorder------------------------------- Yes, this does not sound good. In my experience, it is usually not a good sign when a website says something like SOMETHING DYNAMIC IS COMING---ARE YOU CURIOUS---CHECK BACK SOON. ------------------------------- If the product you ordered has been delayed for over two months, it may not be a shortage of transistors, but rather a shortage of investors. |

Same thing it has since I ordered... I have not been billed yet.
Order Status Due to the overwhelming response, your order is on back order and will ship within the next 15 business days. Please check back periodically for updates. |

Re: [Other] NetTalk- Ordered 2 months ago Cancelled my orderThis company is a joke... Just called and was told now they are not looking to start shipping until the end of July.
The only reason I hung on this long is because I was told a few phone calls ago that they were going to honor the lifetime service for me as I ordered while the website still showed the offer. Today I was told that this is not true and because I ordered during the transitional period when the TK6000 was on back order, I would not get the lifetime offer. Not that the $29 per year is a lot, for me it is enough of the run around from this company. I have a MJ as a back up of my primary Voip account and when I travell. I have had very little issues with it when I have needed it and will just stick with that!
See ya Net Talk! |

Re: [Other] NetTalk- Ordered 2 months ago Are they serious?Step back and open your eyes.. corporate strategy in play.
This was purposely done to you there was no back order! none of these were ever to be produced again and those that were already on the market months ago were yanked back to corporate. All to common in the business world, they reached there limit of free users months ago, and kept every one guessing on what the problem was with the generic response of Back order. The JOKE was on us! no problem just the company building anticipation for a product that will not see the light of day again and give you the consumer the old Bait and switch. As the DUO is the only way you can ever have there service now.
I wonder what will happen to those with the tk6000 on the lifetime plan if it breaks or malfunctions... Here's my best guess "Nettalk REP.. Oh sorry its not working well gladly send you a new DUO free of charge ..BUT you now have to pay $30 a year for your service the lifetime is only on the TK6000. Also NO, tech support is no longer offered on the TK6000".. |

NetTalk is just a liar. The "back order and will ship within the next 15 business days" is a lie to keep potential customers from buying other voip devices. NetTalk never plans any back order for TK6000. You would be lured to buy a Duo when calling NetTalk's customer service.
I don't know how good the service of NetTalk is, but I believe we should stay away from that dishonest company. |

No one had posted in this thread since August 11.
It had been buried for several weeks.
By posting in it today, you brought it to the top again, and to everyone's attention.
Ironic, ain't it. |

Might as well give an update now that this is back up to the top again :>)
After canceling my order, I was thinking about just getting a thin client to run my magic jack off of. When the new upgrade was released and saw some having issues with their magic jacks on their thin clients, I re-thought NetTalk. Although I got hosed on the free for devise life offer I was promised verbally by their customer support my first go around, I figured it is about what I am paying anyway per year for my MJ. I ordered on-line and once again was sent an e-mail that it was backordered. I thought, here we go again!!!! Took about 10 days for them to ship to me. I did take advantage of the 25% off offer because I had ordered the TK6000 and they could not deliver to me. Since I have received it, their service seems good. I only use this as a back up line to my Voipo account and primarily to be able to use my HP fax. For the price. I cannot complain. |
