Re: Linksys WRT54GL w/ Tomato Crashing Regularly I've never had any issues running the ND build on the WRT54GL. I believe it includes an updated wireless driver. |

 | reply to MaestroC Also having WRT54gl with tomato crash when an IOS4 device comes back into wifi range. Its a 3gs
Been happening a few weeks- since IOS4 basically, been solid for 3 years previously |
|
 | I was thinking it was a iOS 4 issue as well. Setting both my iPhones to static IP's looks like it has fixed the issue. My uptime is now 6days. |
|
 | reply to MaestroC Not sure the static IP is an option since I move onto 3-5 networks in a typical day, all based on different private network addresses.
The crashes are a daily issue now though- I can remove the iphone from the equation pretty easy for a few days to verify it as a cause. |
|
 | Set a static DHCP address on the router, it's under Basic -> Static DHCP. |

Test by putting the transmit power back to 28mW for a few days and see if the crashes go away. If this is the cause, then you need to add some heatsinks & fan or at least try a more moderate gain. |
