[ADSL] ADSL intermittent connection mystery

Hi all,

Can anyone shed some light on my ADSL problem. I'm supposed to have an 8Mbit connection, but my router is only connecting at 4Mbit, and even then most of my speed tests are much much slower than 4Mbit - sometimes as low as 0.5Mbit.

I've done some line tests, please see the link below.

Any ideas? Thanks very much in advance!

Did you ask your Broadband supplier?

What did they say?

Yes I'd speak to your provider but before you do that

Make sure your router is connected in to the test socket behind the removable faceplate of your BT master socket.
This will ensure you have no internal wiring (which you are responsible for) connected to your line.
They will likely ask you to do this when you call them anyway.
Also try a new ADSL filter perhaps too.

Good luck
Mike
