Re: Yeah, right

for what LTE? LTE isn't even out of the lab yet.

I cant say much about what is going on in USA (I am under NDA) but Verizon will launch their LTE soon. So will a whole bunch of other operators too. I am surprised that one I know of havent launched yet. They said they would. Well, in Sweden and Norway there is already LTE networks for the public.

·WOW Internet and..

VZ keeps saying "soon" when is soon? the same time they allow open handsets on their network? And who are these other carriers? TMO? They're not. ATT? They're not. MetroPCS? I doubt it as they'll cut their roaming agreements from Cricket, Sprint and others. The only way Metro would keep working is if they moved to LTE and so did TMO since they both use AWS handsets. Thats' about it.

And again as far as VZW, tell them to show it to the public or keep it and their employees mouths shut cause nothing is coming soon.

Let's see "in Sweden and Norway" actually means only two cities by the same operator (Telia-Sonera).

"A whole bunch of other operators" will be waiting until it's financially and technically necessary to upgrade to LTE.

Right now, LTE provides no benefits to GSM carriers over HSPA+.

Evryone keep talking about LTE, but HSPA+ has abilities well over 10MBS if they (TMO and ATT) will spend the money to put in the beefed up back-haul, which it sounds like TMO is doing. I get HALF that speed and I will be in HEAVEN!!
