Re: What should my fan RPM be?

The temperature staying at 38 has to do with the fan increasing in speed, right?

I don't knon what is going on.

Since the fan has been replaced, the problem has gotten worse.

I don't do anything that would tax the processor. I just surf the internet.

After one hour, the RPM on my fans are up to 3357 and 3456 from 2139 and 2985

Before, it would take hours to reach this speed.

I don't think it is a hardware issue.

BTW, in HWMonitor (the program I am using to monitor), the fans are labeled "CPU" and "Front"

I don't know if this can help solve the problem.

When I put the computer into "Sleep" mode and then one second later, come out of it, the fan goes back down to 2,200 RPM (from 3,800 before going into sleep mode).

Could this indicate anything?
