Re: Linksys WRT54GL w/ Tomato Crashing Regularly

I find tomato to be much more stable with the new driver build (1.28 ND). I have 2 WRT54GLs - one runs the standard build fine, the other one crashes every few days on the standard build. My WRT54G-TM (GL with extra ram) also crashes periodically on the standard build. After upgrading the unstable ones to the 1.28 ND build, it's been stable ever since except for power outages.

So the WRT54GL can run the 1.28 ND builds just fine? Anything different from the normal build?

I've never had any issues running the ND build on the WRT54GL. I believe it includes an updated wireless driver.

The ND version has a transmit power issue. Raising it or lowering it does nothing.

ND stands for "New driver" and any of the WRT54Gx 's with a Broadcom BCM5352 can run Tomato_ND fine.
