vasta join:2003-04-07 Orlando, FL | I logged on a minute ago, 2 of my 7 85's were on different realms...They didn't change the account password or anything so I went ahead and did that.
Curious if I should contact Blizzard now or wait a day or so and hope the person farms stuff (I just emailed them since I'm not in a huge hurry) and if they do is all that stuff left alone? maybe I shouldn't have changed my password so fast
This is exciting, considering not another living soul (other then 1 real life friend) knows what my battle.net email is, I don't sign up to any forums or sites with my battle.net email, my machine is clean (I have NOD), I never download questionable files or visit questionable sites
I did notice 1 of them got a feat of strength though, "Earned the feat of strength MiniZep Controller." so thats pretty cool |

vasta join:2003-04-07 Orlando, FL | reply to Archivis Well I don't say its clean, NOD and many spyware programs say it was/is clean.
I know exactly what happened and how my account was sort of compromised, Curse Client plain and simple. I've played this game since October 2010 and had zero issues but 2 days after installing that piece of shit to update addons for 4.3 my account was messed with... I regularly reformat, I always check for viruses and no one knows my battle.net ID, I've never signed up to any site with my battle.net email, I don't download anything questionable (except curse client) I got rid of the client and changed my password and I'd bet any amount of cash my account will not be messed with again.
I just lost some gold and a ton of cloth but gained about 1100 whip tail and almost 1000 volatile life

And it seems I'm not alone, yeah... |

| reply to Mike When I logged on this morning it wouldn't take my password and I thought, "oh shit I got hacked somehow". I have used a authenticator for years but who knows these days. So I started a password reset and it went through with no problem. Checked my toons and money were fine so it appears it might have been a glitch on Bliz's end. |

| Of course it would. I use my throw-away email address for registering at any WoW related site requiring an email address and a separate email account only for Blizzard. My throw-away account gets so many fake Blizzard emails, at least 10-12 everyday. I could see how dangerous it would be for anyone using a single email address for Blizzard and WoW related sites. -- Games - GameTech - S.F.Bay - 新 |
