In some ways the "good" modern age has been really bad for people.
There used to be an author on ZDTV. He had a one minute spot where he would talk about the need to unplug the PC and go outside and live your life.

| I strongly doubt that you would fail if you were totally unpluged.
There are many things we use in everyday life, that we don't need. We use them because they make life easy. Like a car, TV, Computers, cell phones.
You could listen to NPR, read a newspaper, listen to talk radio.
Back when I had dail up, it never took 2 hours to load a web site. Granted back them the sites weren't as multimedia heavy as they are now.

So using YOUR logic why not live just like the Amish and you'd be better off. |

I didn't have broadband in my area for a long time. I paid to have an ISDN line initially and didn't expect to have the government give me a hand out.
Broadband is not a god given right or a necessity. Cry us a river. |
