Depends on the area. Do you have free WiFi at McDonalds, Wendy's, Krystal, etc like we do? If so, you could just go there, or set up a directional WiFi antenna on your house to use their connection.

Yes a few places including Starbucks now but they tend to have very limited bandwidth. Certainly not stable enough for video streaming.

Why wouldnt they turn a profit? I would assume much of everything is in place already since it is already fully working in the US. Get a few new peering agreements in place for the great white north and you have very few extra costs to offer it up there.
