Re: 1 Week before SC2 launch I really hope the 3v3 and 4v4 stability is there. Also, I hope they make some better maps. Right now, 3v3 and 4v4 are pretty much just rush rush rush. In 2v2 and 1v1, you can hold off rushes, but 3v3 and 4v4 make it impossible to hold off. -- 'A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have.' -Thomas Jefferson - |

 | Thats why I am such a big fan of Twilight Fortress. The map just makes sense.
If two opposing forces are fighting over control of an area, why would you NOT consolidate your forces to cover you areas of fire.
Thats the number run rule, you never go outside your wingmans weapons system range. Im sorry, but if it takes you 20 seconds to go from your base to your allies, you aren't able to properly cover your wingman. |

| I love rushing on Twilight Fortress. It is hardly expected and if they put up a quick tower defense at the LARGE choke point, we just pull back, tech ASAP and defend with the rushing units.
Also, sometimes, we've found that their blocked off defense isn't entirely finished. We may get pelted on the way in, but their base is entirely vulnerable, so we just walk past their defenses and usually it's GG. -- 'A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have.' -Thomas Jefferson - |

 | 100% agree there, but thats just poor play on there part.
If you and your allies are playing a proper game, aka, not teching up quickly, 3v1 can cause serious reprecussions in a matter of seconds, before your allies can even get there.
Maybe proper use of the watch towers is required, im not sure.
Either way, at least on twilight fortress you and your allies can defend eachother without walking half way across the map. |

 | undoubtedly, most people get to comfortable in the large distances between bases. |
|
 | I just hope there are maps similiar to that for large games. |

Looks like my night is planed along with a possible Ihop visit since its in the same parking lot (Ok this is a bit sad but this was the first online game I ever played and it was on dial up so I was extremely excited they finally made a sequel almost what 10 years latter not counting expansion) -- Team Discovery-Join the fight |

 | No it's not so don't worry
Now, what's really bad is if you're camping out for midnight tickets for Twilight. -- Filled with magic and pixie dust |

MysticGogetaThe Robot DevilPremium join:2005-03-14 League City, TX | Little off topic but hilarious when they first put on the first twilight movie on DVD I got out late for work around 11 pm I had to go get some milk at Wal-Mart and there was people camping out waiting for them to put it out at midnight. I asked a group of girls if there was a sacrifice going on (Due to the Gothic wanna be clothing they were wearing) and I got several dirty looks and walked away laughing. -- Team Discovery-Join the fight |

| reply to TigerLord My local video store sell games. They usually close at 11:59PM but they'll be open through 1:00AM next Monday for the SC2 release. So I'll get my copy of SC2 @ 12:01AM on the 27th.

(It was horrible when I lived in CA when WOTLK was released...not being able to play it until 3 hours after my guildmates bought it sucked ass.)
Either way I plan on going for a hike at 530am on Tuesday. I'll buy the game when I get home then play it all night. -- Whats smells like blue? |

| reply to TigerLord I think it's stupid digital editions don't get released at the exact same time worldwide... Blizzard is selling the digital edition on their site at 11:00AM only... why 11:00AM?
Steam often gets a release date that is a day or two after the retail release date. Which is also stupid because obviously the profit margin on digital deliveries is higher. |

GundyPremium join:2002-10-29 | reply to TigerLord I'm so stoked for this game. I got in the beta this past weekend, and even though it lasted just two days I had the most fun in a multiplayer game in along time.
I got to the gold 1v1 ladder, and I silver with my 2v2 partner.
We aren't that good and were in the midst of reading strategies via team liquid.
The game sure is fast paced! -- | Im not really a ego maniac im just really good at what I do... | |

1 edit | Two days to go!
