Re: run apps or games off a USB flash disk? As I understand, an app which requires there to exist certain things in the Windows Registry will not be able to run off a stand alone flash drive.
You may be able to use google to help you find instructions for how to do for some specific software. I wasn't able to find anything that looked too promising for Office, though.
