Re: Free UK DIDs from numbergroup Okay I got it. I was supposed to use the username from the extension that I made. I was able to log in to X-lite using those credentials but when I called my numbergroup number using another phone, my X-lite won't ring and I get about 10 rings on my numbergroup number then it just hang up.
Calling my PBXes SIP zaldy@pbxes.org directly goes through though. |

IM me your numbergroup DID sometime and I'll help you do some testing, off and on. Going out tonight, however. I'll try to call you at the PBXes SIP address, too.
Or, as you have a OneSuite DID, I could call that for free using Onesuite myself, couldn't I?
My setup of having Numbergroup FW the 03 DID to PBXes works (but not perfectly), so I'm guessing it is something in your setup. |

I received the same response to my ticket today. Apparently they now allow calls to these numbers. I'd wait until they fix the value rate though or you'll end up paying $1.51/minute. The rates have been changed, still not the same as 01 and 02 numbers but closer. Unfortunately, I still cannot call the numbers, just get a fast busy. -- WRT610N + dd-wrt - SPA2102 - SPA3102 VoIP.MS - Localphone - Callcentric - Google Voice - UKDDI - SipSorcery |

 | reply to brg Thanks for helping me out and for the offer. I think I got it figured out. I populated the regular hours with time and days and so far its working.
I was able to log in at my Numbergroup account and saw my Onesuite SIP there instead of PBXes SIP. I changed it to PBXes and now when someone calls my UK number, it goes to PBXes and rings my phone.
I was able to set up PBXes so calls to my Onesuite DID rings my phone too and same when calling out. |

That's my basic setup, with some additions (2 more extensions; other DIDs and SIP traffic coming into PBXes, more inbound/outbound trunks, etc). So, you are able to call out on OneSuite from your phone via PBXes? Good deal.
PBXes can be a bit quirky, but I've had pretty good luck with it now for over 9 months or so. Just don't use it more than 2000 min/month; don't accidentally delete the account (you'll have to start all over), and never set up a second account (they'll cancel all of your accounts). |

 | Thanks for advice. Can I also incorporate my Gizmo5 and Google Voice in PBXes? Not sure where to start though but for now I'm glad my UK (numbergroup) number forwards to PBXes. |

Not sure where to start though but for now I'm glad my UK (numbergroup) number forwards to PBXes. Yes to Gizmo5; I have. "Not really" to GoogleVoice for inbound because as a DID it requires another DID (like IPKall or IPComms or Sipgate or G5 or even OneSuite) to forward it to, but you can of course run IPKall or IPComms or Sipgate or G5 Onesuite through PBXes. "No" for outbound except for the existing G5 linkage. GV isn't SIP or IAX, and IMHO that's what PBXes requires.
(I actually do have GV configured for OB calling, but it's really via a friend's 1.4X Asterisk box. I have him as an outbound trunk from PBXes, and he has configured the magic "NerdVittles" SipGate + GV setup in his Asterisk box so I can make the outbound calls...) |
