I checked... i-hateatandt.com is still available. Ever think of switching the site's name?

Interesting you can completely dismiss the studies' results. Why is it interesting? Because, I have at&t and I am happy. My friends have at&t and they are happy. We are not alone, and even though you continually thrash them, there are people who like at&t.
Just saying.. |

| The truth is while AT&T network is trash in some areas, it's very good in many areas, It really is comparable to Verizon where I live in most respects.
Is it a network problem to some extent, YES absolutely Is it a PR issue to some extent, YES absolutely because AT&T does tend to treat it's customers as unimportant peons and deny that problems exist.
AT&T tries very hard to keep us from using the same devices that Apple tries to get us to use for more and more things, it's gonna be a PR nightmare for any cell phone carrier that gets the iPhone.
Despite the popularity of Android no one can argue that that mass effect of Android on a singular carrier doesn't even come close to what AT&T has had to deal with all of the IPhone's in the US. |

Yeah and there are people who have had (or are having) a horrible experience with them. I switched to an iPhone 3GS last year and quickly fell in love with the phone. However, service became almost unusable in the town where I work, and data speeds in generally were inconsistent and, for the most part, horribly slow in places where I spend most of my time.
A town of 50,000+ people should not have service so poor that you often cannot use data or even make a call. Needless to say, I switched back to Verizon and could not be happier. I have nothing but negative experience in dealing with AT&T, and that included many business trips I've taken all over the Northeast. -- One nation, under Zod! |

Clarification: I have ATT and I've had problems with them, so I'm less than happy with them. However, I know many people who are happy with them and I don't try to convince to them not to be. -- Kilroy was here |

Last I had AT&T (and/or used friend's phones who were on their service), all I got were dropped calls and/or "no service" in areas where their service maps displayed full coverage.
Hell, most of the town of Encino's a dead zone to AT&T. Its either VZ, Sprint, or no service in my area. |

Z80APremium join:2009-11-23 | I'm sure there are dead spots with AT&T just as there are with all carriers but I haven't really come across any. |

 | reply to MovieLover76 As a proud AT&T employee, I admit I'm biased, but anyone who follows the news is well aware that AT&T has admitted network problems and is racing to fix them. The iPhone makes it so easy (and fun) to suck up bandwidth that AT&T is having a tough time keeping up with demand. Any provider lucky enough to have the iPhone would have the same issue.
And you are completely off base sayng we treat our customers as "unimportant peons". How do you justify that statement? Any business (including AT&T) realizes that customers are ESSENTIAL to success. We're not perfect, but we DO value customers, and strive to keep them satisfied.
This study helps shed light on the small but VERY vocal minority of iPhone users who love their device (including myself) but are unhappy with their service (EXcluding myself). My experience with the iPhone and AT&T service is awesome, and everyone I've talked to that has one says the same thing. |

| Alrighty then. How about upgrading your network to service the areas your maps claim to reach? In Encino, CA, the network service has remained the same ever since I ditched AT&T in 99-2000 - unavailable.
Clearly it's not impossible to service us - both Sprint and Verizon do. Seems silly that in 10 years of network upgrades, we've been upgraded from "No Service" to...well, "No Service". |
