Hardware is 5+years ahead of software. Why spend the money on the latest and greatest only to never be able to use it??????????? 5yrs later, your computer is still fast, but now you have to upgrade your video card to play other games that were just released.
I agree.. I built a mid range system in 2003 I finally upgraded in late 2009 to an intel dual core system with a 4870 I will upgrade again when sandy bridges comes out other then that I got my money's worth out of my Ati radeon 9600XT card.. Fan stopped turning and all....
