Some boards allow you to set thermal limits in the BIOS. If yours does, go in and set the thermal limit at something like 75 or 80c. If your dad wants to OC with the stock HSF set it to shut down before damage is done.
If he won't listen, maybe he needs to fry the CPU to get the message.
