All of the current D3 modems use the same texas instrument chipset (puma 5). The only one that uses something different is the one I haven't seen released yet the DPC3212 which will use the new Broadcom D3 chipset.

I believe the Motorola SBG6580 (8x4 bonding) is using the newer Broadcom chipset - which is available now through retail.

Have you played with any of the broadcom D3's yet? I've been waiting a while to get my hands on one. I'm personally a fan of broadcom over Ti...
