Besides, the USA is a Constitutional Republic, as such the Citizens don't vote on hardly anything but their representatives. That's the JOB of Congress (got that out of a fancy high school civics class!

Constitutional Republic works if they actually REPRESENT the will of the constituents. We are in an unprecedented era of politicians completely ignoring the will of the people.
