Porting AT&T Uverse number to Teleblend

I currently have AT&T Uverse service. Is it possible to keep my phone number and port it to Teleblend?

You have better choices available.

You would need to post your area code, exchange, and first digit of the last 4 digits, for the clec to be looked up.

One warning though, TB has been reported to high jack #'s after legitimate porting out.

The De Soto TX rate center sits in an geographic location covered by three area codes: 214, 972 and 469. The only CLEC ... a company that provides telephone numbers to VoIP companies ... that has a presence in this rate center is Bandwidth.com which holds the 214-216-2xxx thousand number block rights. Bandwidth.com is a relative newcomer to the VoIP world ... but has been growing in leaps and bounds, grabbing up number blocks in thousands of rate centers throughout the US

VOIPo ... one of the highly praised providers in the BBR Forums ... has a new batch of telephone numbers (DIDs) in the 214-216-2xxx exchange (obtained from Bandwidth.com), including a very nice number ending in two zeros. The fact that VOIPo has new De Soto numbers suggests that they may be able to port in your ATT number.

CallCentric ... another excellent provider ... indicates they can port in your number (for a $25 one-time fee).

AxVoice says they can port in a De Soto TX number ... but when I look for new number availability on the AxVoice site, they do not show De Soto in the 972 or 214 or 469 area code listings.

PhonePower does not have available numbers or porting ability in your town.

I'm not sure which other VoIP providers use Bandwidth.com for their numbers.

Aha, RockyBalBoa! You dare challenge the all knowing, all seeing, omniscient N9MD.

Although Bandwidth.com was founded in a spare bedroom of founder David Morken's home in Park City UT in 1999, the first activity of this company as an actual CLEC was July 11, 2008, just over two years ago, when Bandwidth received approval from NANPA to give out its first block of DIDs ... in the Columbia SC rate center.

The vast majority of Bandwidth's current number block assignments were released in 2009 and 2010 ... and the company now has numbers in almost all fifty states.

hint: consider the possibility that they were a significant reseller in the industry PRIOR to their efforts to become a full-fledged CLEC....
