Re: Noooo... said by rustydusty:Not a slide phone! They are all garbage. Haven't had a slide phone that didnt' stop sliding or break altogether. While I will say that the sliding mechanism is just one more on the list of things to go wrong, I will not say they're garbage. If people would quit treating their phones like toys or slide hard, etc, I would venture to say that the vast majority of them wouldn't break. I've had several sliding phones and even flip phones. NONE of them broke on me. |

Its rare for any of my phones to ever get a scratch on them. |

In fact , except for the chrome trim, the new Torch has the same dimensions and look as the Palm Pre.

I also don't like it cause it's always failed for me. I'm sure some have good luck with them, but I've had no issues with my curve touch screen. I'll take a touchscreen over a slide phone anyday. To each their own though. |

en102Canadian, eh? join:2001-01-26 Valencia, CA | While I haven't tried out the BB Torch, I can only 'hope' that the keypad quality (good old Canadian quality) is better than that of the Pre. Since RIM has been making BB's with keypads forever, I can only hope they did it right. -- Canada = Hollywood North |

 | The only time I've ever broken a phone in my life is when one of my phone got ran over by a lawnmower. I've had many clamshells and sliders. Other than the lawnmower incident, I've never broken one. |
