Boo AT&T

I was on the edge with staying with the BlackBerry. I've had them for nearly 7 years now, and love them to death, but they are just loosing their focus. All this stuff they are coming up with are incremental changes, and are nothing 'must have'. Their browser still dosen't have Flash, their only programming model is Java (which I think is why there are so few apps for them), and their half-assed integration with social media seems like it was come up over a weekend, rather than well-thought out.

Some of the bread-and-butter of BlackBerry was that the models were on EVERY network. You could choose the best network for what you were doing or what you wanted, and the device was just there. There is a strong community around them, but that is quickly dying. Despite a few cosmetic changes, this is the same OS as 4.5 which came out 4 years ago.

BlackBerry needs to woo the developer community like Android and Apple have done, or they will loose out forever. Their phones have always been solid as PHONES (something the Androids and iPhone users cannot say), but more and more people are demanding more from their phones.

I don't know -- I guess I was just expecting so much more from RIM for this lastest OS and phone. They should be seeing the writing on the wall... and it's the shape of a green little robot.

Flash? If you wanted to bring that up we should note that Apple does NOT support Flash either.
