Re: Good said by Camelot One:said by J E F F:That said, 4 months is chump change. Now they'll figure out how to do it without going to prison next time. It's worth noting that a 4 month "prison" sentence doesn't exist. Anything less than 6 months is served in a county jail. Similar concept, but a very different type of facility with a different group of people. (majority only accused rather than convicted) That's true in Canada too..although I believe 'jail' is two years less a day, and prison is 2 years or more. Generally, you're better off in prison I would think, since you'd be allowed a few more rights. -- Not all men are idiots. There are still a lot of bachelors out there.

NO , jail or provincial time as it is really known is easier in some ways as you have more freedoms ...prison as you call it is called actually federal time and you have fewer rights fewer freedoms but are left alone more and dont get bothered by "short timers" if thats worth more time then you need a REAL good head shake..... also you dont get internet access in provincial time while you can get very very restricted access in federal jails. |

| My understanding - at least from the prison here in Kitchener - Grand Valley Institute for Women, which is a federal prison, they have a lot more freedoms than that Vanier Institute in Milton which is provincial. Although I could be wrong since I've been to neither... -- Not all men are idiots. There are still a lot of bachelors out there.

Lots of people might or might not deserve to have some bad things happen to them, but if you commit a crime against them - even if you think you're just doing them the favor of educating them, expect to pay for it.
There's nothing else to babble on about. |
