Is the PCI card the Linksys WPC600N? If so make sure to properly set up the "Profile" or it will not work. You might have to reboot from dead cold off. The reboot selection does not do the trick. Just got one of these working on a Windows 2000 ThinkPad A30. I was 3 feet away from my WiFi router and it would not connect until I set up the profile.

Edit. My bad, your using an internal card. I am not sure if it has the same interface, but it might still require you to use and set up a profile.

Which model Linksys card? Maybe there is a way to get the Linksys software to come up so you can set it up. I am assuming your using Windows connection manager to try to connect. Is that correct?
