FYI, Northstate is running ADSL2+ which allows for 24Mbps/1.4Mbps per pair. So if they choose to, they could use two pair and deliver 48Mbps/2.8Mbps. I was told by an engineer they are limiting upstream speeds because of the IPTV product. I don't understand enough about ADSL2+ for it to make sense that limiting upstream would help IPTV (downstream delivery), but I'm not a telco engineer.  |
