Okay Ray, I gave that a shot - it was just grayed out. I changed it to "6" for number of CPUs. FWIW, my little CPU meter gadget always shows 100% usage whenever BOINC is running. And task manager shows 6 graphs maxed out. -- -meh
I was suspecting Win7 as the culpit, because I had heard some talk of the same problem. That fix had worked on some machines without having to re-install the o/s.
Perhaps win7 is not the culptit after all. Did you install win7 earlier and have all cores working before your new ssd installation?
