I could NOT disagree with you more.

The carriers want users in contracts - period. If the iPhone brings that in, then so be it. They make a fortune off the data plans, the texting plans, and so on. Verizon is already living with the android store so why would the app store be any different?

The iPhone will NEVER be cripple on any carrier - plain and simple end of discussion. The iPhone is based on, now, the iOS operating system. It's not customized to the carrier with the exception of turning on and off things like tethering and MMS.. but no, Verizon wouldn't touch the OS.

You guys seem to think that things are black and white, one way or the other. You guys seem to think that the Android is going to be with what they stick with and that they don't "need" apple.. um, any company that wants to make as much money as these carriers do would not turn their nose away from millions of customers.

Just how "crippled" is the iPhone on AT&T anyway? You talking about tethering?
