Re: New boxes and wiring in Québec City

I live on 5th and I can confirm that there was a lot of Bell-action in Limoilou, also around my corner. They rolled a new cable around the already present cables and installed a new box (thin metal garbage bin model) with some very thick cables coming out.

Since the beginning of July we had a few power outs and everytime Bell trucks were around somewhere...

Tomorrow I'll see if I can understand something of what is hanging there.

FTTH? In Limoilou? Probably not. FTTN/FTTK is more likely for a start. That is: if we're lucky!

Also saw Bell working in St. Jean-Baptiste by the way... On Ste-Marie even a whole new pole in the ground!

Well, I don't know how far Quebec City is from Limoilou, but Bell is building out FTTH in Quebec City.

Look pretty close... on google map. Now, if someone can spot those same new boxes in Montreal... I think we could confirm a few things.
