AT&T & T-Mobile paid Billions of $s for that wireless spectrum. I can see why they wouldn't deal with MagicJack to make it easier for them.

Most of us were saying that a few months ago. If the device was powerful enough to be a whole-house femtocell, it would create interference. For example, apartment dwellers and individuals who take their "femto" to the coffee shop.

If it used low enough power to reduce interference, all it could be is a Bluetooth-like (10-foot) wireless connection to use a cellular handset.

That last one might have some value for travelers.

This is part of why I'm skeptical about the news of a new MagicTalk service. This guy hasn't delivered anything in 3 years, and went off on a "femtocell" tangent. Spending time not only on something (relatively) nobody was asking for, but completely oblivious to using licensed spectrum without permission?

Makes me question his grasp of reality.

I hope I'll be proven wrong in the next 30 days.
