said by SRFireside:Sorry to hear your LCD/Plasma experiences were bad. I have one of those Samsung LED backlit high def LCD TVs and the contrast and color is amazing. It's also 52" so I don't know how viable that size is for CRT (including cost). I'm generally against using sound as part of my decision to purchase a TV. Running sound through a good external system will always beat out TV speakers. If you don't already have a receiver and nice surround speakers yet I recommend it.
