Mouse not working in wow
My computer set up is a Asus p5ql-pro motherboard, 2.6GHz intel cpu, 4 gig ram and a Gigabyte GeForce 9400 GT graphic card. I am running windows 7 home for the os. I am using a Logitech cordless keyboard and a Logitech cordless mouseman optical.
My problem is the mouse does not work. It will go the screen where accept or decline. The mouse pointer is at the bottom middle. The mouse will not move in any directions. So for what i have done is uninstall WOW and reinstalled WOW. I have used a microsoft mouse and keninston mouse with no good results. This is being used on a Toshiba 72mx196 dlp tv.
What could be to problem?
Had the same issue back in December and after calling tech support for logitech and told to call Blizzard i finally got a fix by editing the WTF file.
- Open the World of Warcraft folder on your hard drive (Default Folder: C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft or C:\Users\Public\Games\World of Warcraft for Vista and Win 7 users).
- In there, open the "WTF" folder.
- Open the "config.wtf" file. Use WordPad to open it if you are prompted to choose a program.
In the Config.wtf file, make sure the following line appears, including the quote marks:
SET gxCursor "0"
You may have to add this line manually. After you are sure that line is appearing properly, please save and close the Config.wtf file. Now try the game, and your cursor should be showing up properly.
NOTE: If you reopen the "config.wtf" file after making changes, you may not actually see all the lines you added, but this is normal. It does not necessarily mean the game has not saved them in its own data files.
