I was fixing a friend's computer at my house and could not get the machine to get a DHCP address. I called to find out why my machine does not have a problem and his does (BTW the NIC card was functional), and the tech said that the cable modem marrys itself to the NIC card....<br>I never thought of that....<br><br>so SOMETIMES you get a good tech....]]></description>
