2 Identical Modems, Have same config? SS 5200 E242's

In simple I have 2 SpeedStream 5200 E242 Modems (the all black ones with the power switch) and I was wondering if it is possible to copy the firmware/config from one of them, and put it on the other modem. I got the backup from one of em, im just having issues flashing it to the other modem. It flashes the firmware fine, but it is unable to flash the X.Def file, the most important of all. Any ideas? Thanks!

The x.def file when extracted from a Modem is CRC matched to the original Modem and has the MAC IDs stored in it so it will only go back on that original Modem. You would either have to know how to edit it to clean it and correct the CRC value or you would need a clean/generic x.def file that was extracted from a Firmware upgrade file.
